Samsung has introduced the Galaxy SmartTag3, a new generation of its Bluetooth-based tracking device designed to help users locate personal belongings.
One of the biggest changes with the Galaxy SmartTag3 is expanded compatibility. Samsung says the new tracker supports both Galaxy devices and iPhone, allowing more users to take advantage of its tracking features.
The SmartTag3 is also smaller and lighter than previous generations, making it easier to attach to items such as keys, bags, luggage and other personal belongings.
HOW DOES GALAXY SMARTTAG3 WORK?
The Galaxy SmartTag3 uses Bluetooth and nearby devices to help determine the location of a tagged item.
Users can attach the tracker to an object and use the compatible smartphone experience to check its location. When the item is nearby, users can use sound and other locating features to help find it.
For objects that are farther away, the tracker can rely on the broader compatible device network to help update its location.
NEW FEATURES
Samsung has added new location-related features to make the SmartTag3 more useful in everyday situations.
Users can receive location-related alerts and use the tracker to help find misplaced belongings.
The device is designed for a range of everyday items, including bags, luggage, keys and other valuables.
BATTERY LIFE
Samsung says the Galaxy SmartTag3 can deliver up to 790 days of battery life when Power Saving Mode is enabled.
This allows users to keep the tracker attached to an item for an extended period without frequently replacing the battery.
DESIGNED FOR EVERYDAY TRACKING
The compact design makes the SmartTag3 suitable for attaching to personal belongings that users carry regularly.
It can be useful when travelling, commuting or simply keeping track of frequently misplaced items.
IPHONE SUPPORT
The addition of iPhone compatibility expands the SmartTag3 beyond Samsung's Galaxy ecosystem.
This gives iPhone users another option for tracking compatible belongings, while Samsung continues to offer additional features through its Galaxy ecosystem.
With the Galaxy SmartTag3, Samsung is positioning its tracker as a more flexible option for everyday item tracking, combining a compact design, long battery life and broader smartphone compatibility.
