Union Sweeps Rochester Institute of Technology in Straight Sets

Union College secured a commanding 3-0 victory over the Rochester Institute of Technology in a recent women's volleyball showdown that tested the tactical depth of both athletic programs. From the opening serve, Union established a relentless offensive tempo, neutralizing RIT's defensive setups and capitalizing on key unforced errors.

The visiting squad controlled the pace across all three sets, showcasing disciplined blocking and efficient transition play. While RIT attempted multiple tactical adjustments to break Union's momentum, the visiting defense held firm, closing out long rallies and maintaining scoreboard pressure through crucial scoring runs.

Coaches from both sides noted that this early-season test highlights areas for refinement as the competitive calendar advances. Union walks away with a morale-boosting sweep on the road, while RIT returns to the training ground to recalibrate its rotation before the next fixture.
