Compact hardware configurations are reaching a new extreme as manufacturers cram enterprise-grade specifications into miniature desktop chassis. A hardware manufacturer named TOPC has introduced a striking copper-colored compact workstation carrying a price tag that approaches the $7,000 threshold. The machine, designated as the TXA2, packs an impressive array of high-end components into a 2.5-liter enclosure that measures 18 centimeters across and 7.8 centimeters thick while weighing roughly 2.3 kilograms.

Under the hood, the system relies on AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. This chip combines 16 CPU cores and 32 threads alongside Radeon 8065S graphics. A standout feature of the architecture is its integrated graphics capability, which can tap into up to 160GB of system memory to execute complex artificial intelligence models directly on local hardware. The workstation permanently integrates 192GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8,533MHz directly onto the motherboard, meaning users cannot upgrade the capacity later. For storage expansion, the layout accommodates four M.2 2280 NVMe connectors, split between PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 4.0 x2 interfaces, with factory options for 2TB or 4TB SSD configurations.

Connectivity features are robust, featuring both 10GbE and 2.5GbE network ports on the rear panel alongside HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, USB4, and four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports. The front panel adds three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A sockets, an SDXC card reader, and an audio jack, while wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Managing thermal output requires four internal fans dedicated to cooling the processor, memory, and storage arrays, handling up to 140W of peak demand and 120W continuously.

Pricing for the entry-level 2TB configuration starts at $6,499 before taxes, while the 4TB alternative bumps the base price to $6,799, excluding delivery fees and import duties. European buyers could easily face totals surpassing €7,200 once value-added tax and currency conversion costs apply. Because TOPC remains a relatively obscure brand in the broader hardware market and provides only a standard one-year warranty, buyers face a significant financial gamble when investing nearly $7,000 into the compact machine.
