Mobile Pixels has introduced the Prisma, a 40-inch curved 5K monitor designed to integrate Apple desktop computers and workstation accessories directly into a display setup. The monitor utilizes an LG IPS Black panel supporting a 5120 by 2160 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 99 percent DCI-P3 color coverage aimed at creative professionals and demanding applications.
Beyond its visual specifications, the Prisma incorporates a built-in docking station and an M.2 SSD expansion slot for additional internal storage without requiring external enclosures. An onboard KVM switch allows two connected computers to share peripherals simultaneously, alongside Picture-by-Picture display functionality. Connectivity options include USB-C, USB-A, USB-B ports, and dedicated SD and microSD card readers.
The stand structure features a dedicated cradle equipped with an active cooling fan to accommodate Apple Mac mini and Mac Studio systems. The base also includes a 15W wireless charging pad for smartphones and a retractable iPhone mount supporting Apple Continuity Camera features. While tailored for Apple desktop environments, the monitor remains compatible with Windows PCs and laptops.
The hardware is currently available via Kickstarter with an introductory preorder price of $999, representing a discount from its planned $1,600 retail price. Deliveries are estimated to begin in January 2027, though prospective buyers should note the typical delivery risks associated with crowdfunding campaigns.
