Japanese technology giant Fujitsu has officially published its Restructuring Under Geopolitical Stress
The report heavily underscores the reality of doing business in 2026. The era of predictable, hyper-optimized global supply chains is dead.
- Rather than building autonomous agents that execute decisions in a black box, Fujitsu is deploying AI as a real-time advisory layer. For example, if a geopolitical conflict suddenly shuts down a shipping strait, Fujitsu’s AI does not automatically reroute the cargo. Instead, it instantly models 50 different logistical alternatives, calculates the tariff and fuel cost of each, and presents the top three most viable options to a human supply-chain executive to make the final ethical and strategic call.
The Management Vision 2035 Horizon
As Fujitsu prepares for its 100th anniversary in 2035, the company is utilizing this framework to heavily pivot its revenue streams. They are rapidly moving away from selling raw IT hardware and deeply embedding themselves into corporate boardrooms as high-level "Transformation Consultants," using their proprietary AI models to help legacy Japanese and European corporations modernize their operational structures without triggering massive labor union revolts over job displacement.
