Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi 18 Pro series in China with several hardware-focused upgrades, including a large battery, high-resolution cameras and a new privacy display technology.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is equipped with an 8,500mAh battery, giving the phone a significantly larger power capacity than many current flagship smartphones. The large battery is designed to support extended daily use while maintaining the device’s premium hardware specifications.
One of the major camera upgrades is the inclusion of dual 200-megapixel cameras. The high-resolution sensors are designed to capture more detailed images and provide additional flexibility for photography and zoom.
Xiaomi has also introduced a hardware-level privacy display feature. The technology is designed to reduce the visibility of sensitive information to people viewing the phone from an angle, offering an additional privacy layer without relying only on software settings.
Another distinctive hardware element is a 2.7-inch secondary display positioned on the rear of the device near the camera system. It can provide additional functionality while also giving users a way to frame selfies using the main cameras.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro series is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 mobile platform, bringing a new generation of processing hardware to Xiaomi's flagship lineup.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro series is currently being introduced in China, with global availability expected later.
