Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, bringing a new two-display design, A20 Pro chip and a dual-battery architecture to Apple's smartphone lineup.
When opened, the iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display, while the outer display measures 5.4 inches. Both displays support ProMotion, Always On and up to 3,000 nits of peak outdoor brightness.
The phone is powered by Apple's A20 Pro chip and uses a custom vapour chamber for thermal management. Apple says the new chip and thermal system can deliver up to 35 percent better sustained performance than the iPhone 17 Pro.
The foldable iPhone uses a dual-battery architecture, with one high-energy battery on each side of the device. Apple says the iPhone Duo can provide up to 31 hours of video playback using the inner display and up to 44 hours using the outer display.
For photography, the iPhone Duo features a 48MP Fusion Main camera with optical-quality 2x Telephoto capability, along with a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera. The folding design also enables features such as Duo Preview and the ability to use the rear cameras for higher-resolution selfies.
The device is built with Grade 5 titanium and includes a precision hinge with more than 100 components. It also carries an IP68 rating for splash, water and dust resistance.
In India, the iPhone Duo starts at ₹2,99,900 and will be available in Star White and Night Sky. Apple says pre-orders in India and other first-wave markets begin on October 16, 2026, with availability starting October 23, 2026
