Amazon has launched a new Fire TV Stick 4K, bringing a slimmer design, faster performance, 4K streaming and improved connectivity to its streaming-device lineup.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K features a compact design and supports Direct Power, allowing it to draw power from a compatible TV's USB port using the included cable. This can make setup simpler by reducing the need for a separate power adapter in supported configurations.

Amazon says the new device delivers faster performance compared with the previous generation. According to the company's internal testing, apps launch more than 35% faster, while content starts playing nearly 20% faster.
The Fire TV Stick 4K includes 8GB of storage, a quad-core 1.7GHz processor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth Low Energy. It supports 4K video at up to 60 frames per second and is compatible with HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and multiple video codecs, including AV1.
The device runs on Amazon's Vega operating system and comes with the updated Fire TV experience and Alexa+. Amazon says the Vega platform has continued to expand its app ecosystem since its introduction.
Alongside the new streaming stick, Amazon has introduced a redesigned Fire TV Remote. The remote has a more ergonomic shape, an orange dome-shaped Home button and a customizable button that can be configured to launch a preferred app or perform certain functions.
Amazon has also announced the Fire TV Remote Plus, which will feature backlit buttons, an aluminium body and a remote-finding feature. However, the Remote Plus is planned for 2027 and is not part of the initial Fire TV Stick 4K launch.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K is priced at $59.99 in the United States and begins shipping October 1, 2026. Amazon says additional markets will receive the device later in October.
