As part of the collaboration, the organizations have established the Infosys Topaz–Columbia University Enterprise AI Center in New York. Infosys
The new center is designed to bring together academic research, enterprise technology and industry expertise to help organizations develop and deploy generative AI and agentic AI systems at scale. The center will also work with Infosys customers through research collaborations, workshops and co-innovation programs.
The collaboration focuses on three major areas. The first is AI-First Experiences and Processes, which explores how enterprises can redesign user experiences and business workflows using natural interactions such as voice, free-form text and AI agents.
The second area is Responsible and Sustainable AI. Researchers will focus on issues including AI security, transparency, explainability, regulatory requirements, ethical considerations and the energy consumption associated with AI systems.
The third area is AI for Marketing, where the collaboration will explore the use of AI agents, predictive analytics and generative AI to create personalized customer experiences and improve marketing performance. Infosys
The Enterprise AI Center is located at Infosys' One World Trade Center office in New York City. It is intended to serve as a global hub where enterprise leaders, researchers, students and technology professionals can collaborate on AI innovation. Infosys
Columbia's dedicated center website says its research will also explore secure and responsible agentic AI, including AI systems that can operate across enterprise data and workflows while maintaining security, transparency and governance. Infosys Topaz
The partnership highlights the increasing shift of AI research from experimental models toward enterprise-scale deployment, where businesses need AI systems that are not only capable but also secure, explainable and practical to operate.
