Airtel Business has launched Airtel IQ Gateway, a new telco-grade network intelligence platform designed to make enterprise communications safer, more reliable and easier to manage. Announced on October 5, 2026, the platform brings multiple business communication channels—including SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, business voice and number verification—together on a single control plane.
According to Airtel, IQ Gateway is designed to address several problems businesses face when managing communications through multiple providers, including limited visibility into message delivery, failed messages being incorrectly reported as delivered and rising costs caused by fraudulent SMS traffic or OTP pumping.
The platform integrates Airtel's existing fraud-protection technologies, including IQ Verify, which uses network, device and usage signals for network-first fraud scoring. It also includes Silent Authentication, which can verify whether a phone number matches the active SIM in a device, potentially reducing reliance on SMS OTPs and helping mitigate SIM-swap and social-engineering risks.
Airtel IQ Gateway also supports automatic DLT integration, intelligent routing across communication channels and automated switching to backup service providers. Enterprises can monitor communications through a unified dashboard featuring real-time analytics and network-level delivery reports.
The platform is aimed particularly at sectors such as banking and financial services, government, e-commerce and logistics. Businesses can deploy it on their own premises or use Airtel's cloud-based SaaS option, depending on their security and infrastructure requirements.
Airtel says IQ Gateway has already undergone trial deployments with selected banks and financial institutions and is now available nationwide.
