Artificial intelligence startup Hark is launching its new software interface, Hark Pro, across the web, iOS, and Android platforms. The company is led by Brett Adcock, who also founded robotics firm Figure AI, while the software's visual direction is spearheaded by Abidur Chowdhury, an industrial designer known for his previous work at Apple. While the startup plans to build dedicated hardware in the future, today's release focuses entirely on software functionality designed to handle mundane digital chores.
Chowdhury describes Hark Pro as a graphical user interface for modern AI technology, comparing standard chatbot text prompts to archaic command-line terminal interfaces. Rather than relying solely on a basic message box, the software organizes user interactions through a visual layout featuring a customizable background, a central prompt composer, and a side panel dedicated to proactive cards. By connecting email and third-party services, the interface surfaces suggestions such as pending approvals, flight check-ins, and receipt uploads.
The platform also incorporates agentic AI capabilities via a cloud computing system called Handoff, allowing the software to automate multi-step web tasks like ordering food or comparing local service providers. Hark Pro is available for free with tiered monthly subscriptions starting at twenty dollars for doubled usage and one hundred dollars for tenfold usage. Privacy controls permit users to delete stored data at any time, with company policies prohibiting data sales to advertisers.
