Disney is officially bringing two of its largest intellectual properties together in a five-part comic event titled Hope Assembles. Beyond the printed page, the collaboration is spilling over into the block-building world. Filmmaker Kevin Smith announced at New York Comic-Con that Lego will launch a dedicated initiative allowing builders to design sets inspired by the massive franchise mashup. Enthusiasts can submit their custom builds through the Lego Ideas platform, focusing on vehicles, characters, and iconic scenes from both universes.
The submission window is open for physical creations as well as digital builds designed through virtual software. Participants have until Thursday, November 12, to enter their concepts across the three specified categories. Following the submission deadline, a public fan voting phase will commence on Tuesday, December 8, giving the community a direct voice in selecting the winning designs. Final winners of the contest are scheduled to be announced in 2027.
Alongside the building contest, Marvel showcased new variant covers and story previews during its New York Comic-Con panel for the upcoming comic series. Illustrated by prominent artists including Alex Ross, Kaare Andrews, and Dan Jurgens, the artwork features iconic interactions such as Darth Vader wielding the Infinity Gauntlet alongside Luke Skywalker and Spider-Man. The printed crossover series itself, written by Kevin Smith with art by David Marquez, hits shelves in January.
