SpaceX Stock Giveaway for Children Targeted for Trump Accounts

President Donald Trump announced that upcoming distributions of SpaceX shares promised by Elon Musk will be channeled directly into tax-advantaged Trump Accounts. Musk previously stated his intention to hand out one SpaceX share to every child in the United States sometime next year. The initiative gained momentum after Musk publicly acknowledged investor Brad Gerstner for helping clear the path for the program, which was subsequently affirmed by the White House and the administration's social channels.

Financial estimates place the scope of the giveaway at roughly 72 million shares, carrying an approximate market value of $10.5 billion based on recent valuations. Musk described the initiative as only the beginning of a larger corporate contribution movement. Alongside SpaceX, high-profile backers including Michael and Susan Dell, Ray and Barbara Dalio, Brad Gerstner, and SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell have pledged financial support to the investment vehicles.

The Trump Accounts infrastructure expanded significantly in October when the White House reported the automatic enrollment of approximately 60 million children. That push brought the total number of operational accounts past the 70 million mark nationwide. As the timeline for next year's share distribution approaches, regulators and financial analysts will watch closely to see how private equity stakes integrate into federally managed savings vehicles for minors.
