Baseus Launches Outdoor Security Camera with Motion-Tracking Spotlight

Home security hardware has largely relied on passive recording, sending alerts to a smartphone only after motion has already been detected. Baseus is shifting that paradigm with its newest outdoor offering, the Security PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor 3K Dual Camera. Rather than quietly filming an intruder, this device integrates a motorized spotlight that actively locks onto and follows moving targets across a property. The bright beam serves a dual purpose: illuminating potential threats to capture clear identification footage in total darkness while simultaneously discouraging unwanted visitors.

The hardware setup relies on a dual-camera system. A fixed 3K lens maintains constant watch over a primary zone, while a second 3K camera operates on a motorized gimbal capable of panning, tilting, and zooming a full 360 degrees. To handle false alarms caused by wind-blown foliage or stray animals, the device runs onboard AI analysis. This processing differentiates between humans, pets, vehicles, and package deliveries, filtering out irrelevant motion before pushing notifications to the user.

Footage is stored locally on a 512GB encrypted memory card and accessed remotely via the Baseus mobile app, with additional integration for Amazon Alexa and Google Home ecosystems. Power management is handled by an internal rechargeable battery rated for up to 150 days of use, supported by an included 3W solar panel that yields a full day of power from just 40 minutes of sunlight. Priced at $269.99 in the US, the outdoor camera system is available now through major retail channels.
