Warner Bros. and DC Studios might be expanding their television footprint further into Gotham lore with a potential Poison Ivy live-action project. Industry reports indicate that Lauren LeFranc, the creative force behind HBO's acclaimed Penguin series, is currently in talks to sign on as a producer for the new show. While discussions are ongoing, sources note that LeFranc would strictly oversee production duties rather than penning the script, as the project currently lacks an attached writer.

Should the series secure a formal greenlight, it is slated to land on HBO. Interestingly, insiders clarify that this specific iteration will exist outside of Matt Reeves' cinematic Batman universe headlined by Robert Pattinson. Poison Ivy, historically known in DC lore as the botanist Dr. Pamela Isley, has evolved through decades of comic book history as both a complex villain and a reluctant hero since her debut in 1966.

The character boasts a rich history across media adaptations, ranging from Uma Thurman's 1997 live-action film portrayal in Batman and Robin to Lake Bell's voice work in the animated Harley Quinn series. Additional television appearances span live-action runs on Gotham and Batwoman, alongside countless animated and video game features. As DC weighs its expanding small-screen slate following upcoming projects like Lanterns, a dedicated Poison Ivy series stands as a major potential addition to the network's roster.
