Movie fans often lament missing out on seeing certain films in a theatrical environment, whether because the titles predated their time or failed to find an audience upon initial release. Addressing this gap, theater chain Regal is launching a curated screening series titled Deep Cuts. The program highlights films that developed devoted followings away from the big screen, offering audiences a rare chance to experience them in theaters starting this week.

The lineup features a diverse mix of all-time classics, overlooked gems, and genre-bending wild cards. Highlights from the roster include Park Chan-wook’s psychological thriller Oldboy, Jonathan Glazer’s sci-fi drama Under The Skin starring Scarlett Johansson, and Jon Favreau's space-bound adventure Zathura. The series also reaches back decades to include Buster Keaton’s landmark 1926 silent comedy The General, alongside Alex Cox’s 1984 punk sci-fi film Repo Man.

Other notable selections heading back to the big screen include the Wachowskis' 1996 thriller Bound, Cameron Crowe’s Vanilla Sky, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy closer, The World’s End. Tickets and the full schedule for the Deep Cuts series are currently available through Regal's ticketing platforms for moviegoers looking to revisit these titles in cinemas.
