How to Customize and Organize Apps on Your Samsung Smart TV

Modern smart televisions eliminate the need for external streaming sticks by granting direct access to major video services and media servers like Plex right out of the box. Samsung models typically arrive pre-loaded with household names such as Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, and Apple TV. However, regional availability varies, and viewers often need to expand their digital libraries with alternative platforms or free streaming channels. Navigating the built-in app store allows users to find and install additional software effortlessly.

Adding new software requires navigating to the television home screen and utilizing the search bar at the top with the remote control. Typing the desired title reveals whether the platform is supported or available in the local region, though Samsung occasionally bans specific applications. Selecting the icon initiates the download process. Browsing the dedicated apps menu also exposes curated categories for users who want to explore available media options without a specific title in mind.

Once installation finishes, viewers can pin applications directly to the main interface or rearrange their existing layout. Highlighting an icon and holding down the select button opens a management menu where users can choose to move applications left or right across the display. Older hardware models might require pressing the down key instead to trigger the options window. This same menu provides pathways for removing icons from the dashboard or deleting the software entirely to free up system space.
