Jackery has expanded its lineup of portable energy solutions with the release of the Explorer 100D, engineered to deliver substantial power within an ultra-compact footprint. Measuring 11.87 by 8.26 by 8.57 centimeters and tipping the scales at 850 grams, the new device holds a 30,000mAh capacity while managing to be 14% smaller and 12% lighter than the previous Explorer 100 Plus model. This pocket-friendly build makes it a practical addition to backpacks for travelers and commuters seeking reliable off-grid power.

Built to comply with standard lithium battery transport regulations, the hardware is cleared for transit on commercial aircraft and trains. Despite its miniature scale, the unit incorporates a physical carrying handle and offers compatibility with an optional shoulder strap. Power delivery is handled via two USB-C ports capable of up to 140W each, alongside a single 18W USB-A port. While the maximum combined output reaches 158W, users can simultaneously connect multiple devices such as laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

Under the hood, the Explorer 100D abandons standard lithium-ion chemistry in favor of a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell. This design choice targets enhanced safety and longevity, with manufacturer estimates projecting an eight-year lifespan alongside retention of at least 80% capacity across 3,000 charging cycles. Recharging the station can be accomplished via traditional wall outlets or through direct solar input of up to 100W, catering to outdoor enthusiasts. Retailing at $99 / €99, the device bridges high portability with durable energy storage, though regional availability outside North America and Europe remains limited for now.
