Wizarding world enthusiasts now have a dedicated mobile device tailored to their fandom. Chinese smartphone maker realme has introduced the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition, marking the brand's second major hardware collaboration with Warner Bros following last year's Game of Thrones release. The device blends mid-range computing hardware with extensive thematic packaging and visual customization.
The physical design features a Magic Brown faux-leather finish with a classic argyle pattern and a golden Hogwarts crest centered on the back panel. Utilizing color-changing technology, the crest shifts into various house colors when exposed to ultraviolet light. The ultra-thin 8.47mm frame also includes golden camera accents and a laser-engraved Hogwarts welcome banner. Buyers receive the device inside a leather suitcase-style box containing an acceptance letter, train tickets, house bookmarks, a pin, and themed wireless earbuds.
Underneath the exterior themed styling, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chipset paired with an ARM Mali-G615 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a peak brightness of 6500 nits. The camera system includes a 200MP main sensor, a 112-degree wide lens, and a 50MP front-facing camera. Powering the hardware is a 7000mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging via USB-C.
Software customizations include a custom user interface featuring a Hogwarts castle wallpaper, a boot animation inspired by the films, and tailored fingerprint unlock graphics. Thirty native applications also receive specialized iconography and typography. The limited edition smartphone retails for approximately $657 through the manufacturer's official website, with a second production batch following an initial sell-out.
