A technology supplier has taken an unconventional approach to hardware liquidation by listing an enormous 300-rack AI supercomputer on eBay for $59.7 million. Offered by Core 4 Solutions, the massive hardware installation packs thousands of graphics accelerators, enterprise processors, and supporting infrastructure designed for heavy computational workloads.
The comprehensive listing features 9,600 Nvidia A100 accelerators paired alongside 4,200 AMD EPYC Rome processors. Every individual rack within the 300-unit setup contains four computing nodes and three administrative machines. Each compute node is configured with two 64-core AMD EPYC processors, eight Nvidia A100 SXM4 accelerators with 40GB of memory apiece, and 1TB of DDR4-2933 RAM. Meanwhile, the administration nodes carry dual 64-core processors and 192GB of memory.
While the hardware relies on Nvidia's previous-generation Ampere architecture and older AMD Rome chips rather than cutting-edge silicon like the Blackwell series or EPYC Turin processors, the cluster still offers immense processing power. The aggregate hardware amounts to 268,800 processor cores and roughly 1,401.6 terabytes of system memory. The complete package also includes Nvidia Mellanox ConnectX-6 SmartNICs, power distribution units, cooling equipment, and server enclosures.
The staggering asking price surpasses the estimated $28.1 million baseline value calculated purely from major component counts—roughly $24 million for the GPUs, $3 million for the CPUs, and $1.1 million for the memory—though those estimates exclude essential networking, power, and thermal gear. In a humorous touch for an enterprise-scale transaction of this magnitude, the seller humorously offers free ground shipping or FedEx Ground transportation, alongside optional expedited delivery rates of $25 for two-day service or $50 for overnight shipping. Despite the logistics of moving 300 server racks, the listing has already drawn curious onlookers on the e-commerce platform.
