Vivo is set to launch the new vivo V80 in India on October 6, 2026, bringing a major upgrade to its popular V-series lineup. The smartphone focuses heavily on photography and content creation, while also offering a large battery, fast charging and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display. vivo has officially confirmed the India launch date and key specifications ahead of the launch.
One of the biggest highlights of the vivo V80 is its 7,200mAh battery, paired with 90W fast charging. This gives the phone a significant battery capacity for users who spend long hours on social media, gaming, video streaming and photography. The company says charging performance can vary depending on usage and environmental conditions.
On the front, the phone features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel has a 2750 × 1260 resolution and supports up to 5,000 nits local peak brightness, while its HBM brightness is rated at 1,800 nits. The display also supports a wide P3 colour gamut.
The camera system is another major selling point. The V80 features a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera on the front. At the rear, it gets a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera, a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera with OIS, and an 8MP ZEISS ultra-wide camera. vivo is also promoting features such as 4K cinematic video recording and AI-powered creative tools for content creators.
Under the hood, the vivo V80 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, built on a 4nm process. The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage in the configuration listed by vivo India, along with support for extended RAM through software optimisation.
The V80 will be among the first vivo V-series phones in India to arrive with OriginOS 7, based on Android 17. It will be available in Stellar Black, Horizon Blue and Sunrise Anthem colour options. The official India price is expected to be revealed at the launch event on October 6.
With its large battery, 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and ZEISS-powered camera system, the vivo V80 is shaping up to be one of the more camera-focused premium smartphones launching in India this October.
