NACON has unveiled the Revolution 5 Unlimited (R5U), a new premium controller officially licensed for PlayStation 5 that introduces a built-in control screen for making gaming adjustments without leaving the game. The controller was announced on October 2, 2026, and is now available for pre-order.
The most notable feature is the integrated display, which allows players to adjust joystick sensitivity, remap shortcuts, manage controller settings and balance game/chat audio directly from the controller. This could be particularly useful for competitive gamers who want to make quick changes during gameplay without opening external menus.
The Revolution 5 Unlimited also introduces Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) magnetic joysticks, designed to provide precise tracking while reducing mechanical wear. NACON has added dual-mode triggers that can switch between smooth analog control and ultra-short mechanical actuation for faster responses in FPS and fighting games.
The controller features seven programmable shortcut buttons, mechanical micro-switches, a six-axis gyroscope and customizable joystick heads, weights and D-pads. It also comes with a dedicated magnetic charging dock and supports PS5 and PC connectivity. NACON states that the wired PC mode can deliver a 1ms response time with a 1000Hz polling rate.
The Revolution 5 Unlimited is priced at $229.99 / €199.99 / £179.99, with the official product page listing October 21, 2026 as the release date.
