AI Smart Feeder Can Now Track What Your Cat Actually Eats: Petlibro Launches Granary 2 Series
Share
Pet care is getting smarter as Petlibro has introduced its new Granary 2 smart feeder series, bringing AI-powered monitoring and detailed food tracking to everyday pet feeding. The new lineup is designed to do more than simply dispense food at a scheduled time—it can track how much food is served, how much remains and, on supported models, how much a pet actually consumes.
One of the biggest upgrades is the built-in precision scale, which measures food to within 1 gram. This allows the system to monitor changes in a pet’s eating behaviour rather than simply recording how much food was dispensed. Owners can use the accompanying app to view feeding activity and identify changes in eating patterns over time.
Higher-end models in the Granary 2 lineup add an AI camera with 1080p resolution and night vision. The camera can recognize individual pets and automatically associate their meals with the correct profile. This is particularly useful in multi-pet households where owners may otherwise have difficulty knowing which cat ate a particular meal.
The Granary 2 X goes a step further with personalized feeding. Its AI camera can recognize a designated pet and open access to the food bowl for that pet, helping prevent other animals from stealing food. The system can also provide feeding insights and alerts when eating habits change, although some advanced monitoring features require a Petlibro subscription.
The lineup includes the standard Granary 2, Granary 2 Vision, Granary 2 Vision Duo and Granary 2 X, giving pet owners different levels of monitoring and automation. Prices start at $129.99, while the Granary 2 X is listed at $279.99.
With AI moving beyond smartphones and computers, Petlibro’s new feeder shows how AI, cameras and sensors are entering everyday pet-care devices—turning a simple food dispenser into a connected health and behaviour-monitoring tool.
