British television personality Bradley Walsh is stepping over to Channel 4 to host a brand-new, one-off quiz special titled Million Pound Shot. While the premise promises contestants battling it out for a massive cash prize in front of a live studio audience, the internet is currently divided on whether the broadcast is an actual game show or an elaborate spoof.
Suspicion among online sleuths stems from several key production details. The commissioner attached to the project, Tim Hancock, has a history of working on notable hoax and spoof television programs that previously fooled nationwide audiences. Furthermore, the unusual 9 PM time slot and strict non-disclosure agreements signed by audience members have only added fuel to the speculation fire. Whether the broadcast turns out to be a genuine high-stakes quiz or a clever television prank, audiences will need to watch the event unfold to discover the truth.
For viewers located in the United Kingdom, the program airs on Channel 4 and is available to stream for free via the network's digital platform. Fans traveling outside the UK can still access the streaming service using a virtual private network such as NordVPN to bypass regional broadcasting restrictions. No official international broadcast plans have been announced for viewers in the United States, Canada, or Australia.
