Hot Toys has expanded its high-end collectible lineup with a massive Sentinel figure inspired by the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday. Known in Marvel lore as towering killer machines capable of dwarfing heroes, these giant robots required a release that captured their intimidating scale. The newly revealed figure stands at an impressive 60 centimeters, translating to roughly two feet tall, giving fans a physical representation of the massive mechanical threats seen facing Doctor Doom's adversaries in promotional trailers.
Despite its outsized dimensions, the collectible comes with a surprisingly accessible price tag of $330, undercutting several smaller releases from the same cinematic line. Achieving this price point required a shift in manufacturing materials. Unlike the dense, heavy construction typical of standard sixth-scale releases, this Sentinel is crafted primarily from vinyl. The lighter material keeps both shipping logistics and retail costs manageable, while preserving the detailed exterior aesthetic expected from the brand.
The set also includes a miniature Doctor Doom figure standing at approximately five inches tall to establish proper visual proportion. A true sixth-scale Sentinel matching these proportions would have reached human size, making a scaled-down vinyl approach the only practical path for collectors' display shelves. Pre-orders are currently open through official distribution channels for enthusiasts looking to add the giant robot to their collections.
